Couples retreat, adults only
A weekend where you actually talk to each other again.
Two nights in the Art Bungalow with a plant-based chef dinner, back to back massage, a hot tub under the trees, and no reason at all to leave the property.
- One uninterrupted weekend, phones optional
- Dinner and sessions handled, so neither of you plans anything
- Adults only, so the quiet holds all weekend

Why most trips fail
You booked a trip to reconnect and spent it in traffic.
City weekends turn into logistics: parking, reservations, one of you navigating while the other waits.
Cabins look romantic online, then the neighbours arrive and the hot tub faces a driveway.
By the time you both relax it is Sunday afternoon and you are packing.
Everything decided before you arrive.
One space, one property, no crowd. The chef dinner, the massage slots and the sessions are booked in advance, so the weekend has a shape and neither of you has to hold it.
What you leave with
Three results, in the order they happen.
1You are alone, properly alone
Adults-only, 58 protected acres, never shared with another booking. The hot tub faces forest, not a parking spot.
2Someone else cooks and holds the day
A plant-based chef dinner, breathwork on the forest platform and an evening sound bath. You just show up to them.
3You go home closer, not just rested
Couples come for anniversaries and reconnection, and increasingly stay to renew their vows on the forest platform.
What it feels like
The change happens in this order, almost every time.
Arrival
Both phones end up face down on the counter without discussion.
First evening
Dinner arrives cooked for you, so neither of you is hosting.
Saturday
A conversation that goes past the logistics for the first time in months.
Late night
Hot tub, no lights, and the ridge outlined against the sky.
Sunday
Nobody is in a hurry to pack.
What you hear
Wind in 58 acres of hardwood, and not one engine.
What you smell
Woodsmoke, wet leaf litter, and dinner being cooked for you.
What you touch
Hot water at dusk with cold air on your face.
What you see
Steel and stone sculpture standing where trees thin out.

Before and after
What you arrive with, and what replaces it.
Talking only about logistics and calendars
A conversation with no agenda item attached
Two people in the same room on two screens
Phones face down, unprompted, by hour two
Planning a trip that exhausts you both
One invoice, one drive, everything already arranged
Anniversary dinner and back to normal
Two nights that reset the tone for months
Straight from us
What actually changes between you
Couples do not usually need a bigger event. They need fewer things asking for attention at the same time.
So we take them away. No hosting, no cooking, no neighbours, no reception desk, no reason to be anywhere at a specific hour. What is left is the two of you, a hot tub, a fire, and 58 acres of quiet.
The reviews all say the same thing in different words: we talked for hours and did not notice the time.
How it unfolds
2–3 nights, told the way you will remember it.

01 / Friday
Arrive, tour the sculpture, then stop moving
Guided walk through original museum-scale work, chef dinner in the Bungalow, hot tub as the light goes. That is the whole evening, and it is enough.
- Arrive and tour the sculpture collection
- Plant-based chef dinner
- Hot tub

02 / Saturday
One anchor in the morning, the rest is yours
Breathwork on the platform, then a hike at Conkles Hollow or Old Man's Cave if you want it. Back to back massage in the afternoon, sound bath in the evening.

- Hike Conkles Hollow or Old Man's Cave

03 / Sunday
Slow breakfast, no rush to the car
Coffee on the balcony, an optional painting session in the trees, and a checkout that does not feel like being asked to leave.

One day, hour by hour
So you can picture yourself in it before you book.
16:00
Arrive and drop the week
Park once. Tour the sculpture collection if you want it, or go straight to the balcony.
19:00
Plant-based chef dinner
Cooked on site, served in your space. No booking a table, no driving, no splitting a bill.
21:30
Hot tub under the trees
Adults only, nobody else on the property, and the sky here is genuinely dark.
9:30
Breathwork on the forest platform
Twenty minutes that resets how the rest of the day sounds. Optional, and most couples do it together.
14:00
Back to back massage
Two therapists, on site, no drive to a spa and no waiting room.
20:00
Sound bath, then nothing
Bowls, low light, and an early night neither of you apologises for.
Every session listed is optional. 10 are already shaped across your 2–3 nights, and you can add, swap or drop any of them while booking.

Honest comparison
A hotel, a retreat centre, or 58 acres nobody else is on.
Who else is on site
A hotel floor, a lobby, other bookings, other groups
Nobody. 58 adults-only acres, one booking at a time
Sessions and practitioners
You source and coordinate four or five separate vendors
Breathwork, sound, forest bathing, massage, chef and coaching on site
Who runs the day
You do, on top of attending it
Owner-operated by an artist and a wellness practitioner
The building itself
Beige rental furniture and hotel art
Original museum-scale sculpture, handmade beds, a working collection
The invoice
Platform fees, cleaning fees, resort fees, vendor deposits
One itemised invoice, no platform or resort fees
The drive
A flight, a connection, a rental car, a lost day each way
One hour from Columbus, two from Cincinnati, two and a half from Cleveland
How booking works
Four steps, and only one of them needs you.
01
Hold your dates free
Pick your nights and we hold them for 24 hours at no cost, so you can check with the people coming before anything is committed.
02
Talk to Raven, not a call centre
A 30 minute consult with the owner. Group size, pace, dietary needs, what you want people to leave with. She shapes the plan around that.
03
Approve one itemised invoice
Stay, sessions, chef, everything on one page. No platform fees, no resort fees, no five vendors to chase and reconcile afterwards.
04
Arrive and hand it over
The property is set, the practitioners are booked, the schedule is printed. From the moment you park, someone else is carrying it.
Layer it up
Sessions you can add while booking, not chase afterwards.
Fit check
We would rather you knew now.
Book this if
- Anniversary, reconnection, or a vow renewal on the forest platform
- You want privacy over a resort with a pool and other couples
- You would rather one great dinner cooked for you than three restaurant reservations
Look elsewhere if
- You want a city break with shops and bars in walking distance
- You are travelling with kids, this property is adults only
- You want a packed itinerary of excursions
When to come
The preserve is a different place four times a year.
Spring
Trilliums on the trail floor, cold mornings, the preserve waking up loudly. Best light for the forest platform.
Summer
Long green evenings, fireflies over the meadow, hot tub after dark when the heat finally drops.
Autumn
The busiest and most photographed season in Hocking Hills. Book two to three months out for peak colour.
Winter
Bare ridgelines, sightlines through the trees, fireplaces going, and the deepest quiet of the year.

Before you book
The questions everyone asks.
Do we need to book the sessions now?
No. Hold your dates first. Massage, chef dinner and sound bath get added to one itemised invoice before you pay anything.
Can we bring the kids?
The preserve is adults only by intention. It keeps the property quiet enough that wildlife carries on as normal.
How far is it?
One hour from Columbus, two from Cincinnati, two and a half from Cleveland. Leave after breakfast, be in the forest by lunch.
Can we do a vow renewal here?
Yes, on the forest platform, and increasingly couples do. Add it on the consult call and we arrange the setup, the officiant and the photography.
Is the chef dinner worth it?
It is the single most added session for couples. Plant-based by default, adjusted for allergies, served where you are rather than at a restaurant table.
How private is it really?
One booking on the property at a time. No shared trails, no shared hot tub, no other guests walking past your balcony.

Who hosts you
Owner-operated, which is the whole difference
Dustin is a master sculptor, 25 years of large-scale commissioned work, featured on Disney+, the History Channel and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Raven is a wellness practitioner who designs the sessions and hosts the consult call herself. The art you sleep beside and the breathwork you are guided through come from the same two people, on the same land, and they live here.
- Free 24 hour hold on your dates before you pay anything
- One itemised invoice, no platform fees, no resort fees
- A consult call with the owner before every booking, always included
- Adults only, never shared with another booking while you are here
- Every stay funds our on-site and off-site animal rescue
Where you are
58 private acres, with the best of Hocking Hills inside 16 miles.
17683 Thompson Ridge Road, Laurelville, OH 43135. Drive times: Columbus 1 hour, Cincinnati 2 hours, Cleveland 2.5 hours.

Pick your two nights, we will shape the rest
